Man Charged After Trying To Forge Check At Feasterville Bank

Lower Southampton Police said the Philadelphia man was taken into custody after fleeing from police.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A Philadelphia man who tried to pass a forged check at a Feasterville bank is in custody.

After getting caught jumping the turntable to avoid payment for transportation, SEPTA Police in Philadelphia arrested Stefon L. Luckey and learned he had an active arrest warrant out of Lower Southampton Township.

Luckey was turned over to police and taken to Bensalem Township for processing and video arraignment. Bail was set, and he is awaiting a court date.

Police officers responded to the Citizens Bank branch inside of the Acme store at 105 East Street Road for the report of a fraud at 3:27 p.m. on Nov. 18.

Luckey, 38, of Philadelphia, attempted to pass a forged $2,064 check, police said.

Bank employees contacted the payer of the check to confirm its authenticity. While doing this, Luckey fled the bank and was unable to be located.

Through an investigation, he was identified.

Luckey was charged with Forgery, attempted Access Device Fraud, attempted Theft by Deception, and Receiving Stolen Property.
