The Lower Southampton Township Police Department hopes to catch the thief with a "crustacean fascination."
LOWER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — Police are looking for a man seen on camera stealing 20 bags of frozen shrimp from the Lower Southampton ACME on Sep. 30.
"Shrimp is known as the 'fruit' of the sea," the Lower Southampton Township Police Department wrote online. "You can barbecue it, broil it, bake it, saute it, and even steal it."
The man, who left in a car with what police say was a stolen New Jersey temporary registration plate, managed to steer his cart full of frozen seafood past the grocery store's cashiers. Police were dispatched that day at 9:45 p.m.
