Santa Surprises Family Of Deployed Feasterville Firefighter
Todd Hamski is serving overseas in Kuwait and couldn't be home for Christmas. He is a firefighter and police officer in Lower Makefield Twp.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Todd Hamski's family waited for Santa to arrive.
And last Saturday evening, Santa and Mrs. Claus —armed with presents —appeared before Jessica Hamski and her two boys while surrounded by family and friends, police officers, and firefighters, all part of a holiday surprise.
Feasterville Fire Company Chief Christopher Cummins said they wanted to honor Hamski for his lifelong public service commitment.

But Hamski wasn't home —he was deployed overseas two months ago.

He is on active duty in Kuwait as a lieutenant colonel in the National Guard and won't be home for a year.
So Cummins and the fire department escorted Santa on a fire truck, along with other fire trucks, to Hamski's house to surprise his wife and children with Christmas presents.
"It was a heartwarming and fun surprise," Jessica Hamski told Patch over the weekend. "The boys were excited to see the firetrucks with Santa during the annual Santa run earlier that day, then when they heard the sirens getting close a second time they started looking for Santa again. Having the police, K-9, firetrucks, and Santa all stop at our house with friends and family to visit made a truly unforgettable night for them, and for all of us."
In late September, the Feasterville Fire Company, Lower Southampton Township Board of Supervisors, and the Lower Southampton Veterans Advisory Council recognized Hamski for his "dedication to serving his country and community."
