Activists Plan Protest Wednesday At Vanguard In Malvern
The group is protesting at Vanguard's headquarters with a silent prayer service.

MALVERN, PA – Environmental activists are expected to stage a protest outside Vanguard’s headquarters here with the hope of encouraging the company to shift away from investing in fossil fuel companies.
Earth Quaker Action Team and Philadelphia-area Quakers plan to protest at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, with a silent service holding banners to explain to Vanguard employees why they are protesting.
The protestors assert that Vanguard is currently failing to responsibly steward its customers’ savings for a livable future.

Stewardship is a core value to many Quakers and also one of Vanguard’s stated values, but protestors claim that Vanguard is currently failing to responsibly steward its customers’ savings for a livable future, according to the Earth Quaker Action Team.

The team said that Vanguard invests about $270 billion dollars in coal, oil, and gas.
The Quaker team has held similar protests for the last two years.
