This operation is part of a $4.2 million project to improve travel on Route 29 (Morehall Road) and Charlestown Road and in Charlestown and East Whiteland townships.

PennDOT is widening Route 29 (Morehall Road) to provide an additional northbound and southbound through lane between Yellow Springs Road and Phoenixville Pike to enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion. Crews also are widening Charlestown Road from Phoenixville Pike to just south of the Charlestown Elementary School to provide an additional through lane in each direction and shoulders.
