A Food Drive to collect 2,000 pounds of non-perishable food will be taking place in Malvern from November 1st to December 14th as part of Malvern’s Victorian Christmas. The food will go to the Chester County Food Bank for distribution throughout the county. People are asked to drop items off at Malvern Federal Savings Bank, 100 W. King St. in Malvern Borough. Malvern Federal Savings Bank is the Presenting Sponsor of Malvern’s Victorian Christmas that will be held Dec. 7th and 8th.
Hunger can be hard to see in Chester County. It’s the mom feeding her kids oatmeal for dinner every night at the end of the month. It’s the senior making the can of soup with twice as much water to make it last longer. Right now, 1 in 10 people are skipping meals due to lack of food – and that’s why the Malvern Business and Professional Association and Malvern’s Victorian Christmas is holding a food drive…gathering food items to help the 40,000 households in Chester County that don’t have enough food.
