Attorney Tapped to Fill Soon-to-Be Vacant County Commissioner Seat

Chester County Commissioner Ryan Costello in November was elected to Congress.

The Court of Common Pleas of the County of Chester this week appointed Michelle Haris Kichline to fill the Chester County Commissioner vacancy left by the resignation of Ryan Costello.

Costello, of West Chester, was elected to Congress from the 6th District in November. His last day as a county commissioner will be Dec. 15, the county said.

Kichline’s appointment was made after reviewing six applications and conducting six interviews, the county said.

Kichline, a Berwyn attorney who is a former Tredyffrin Township supervisors chairwoman, is expected to be sworn in early next year, Main Line Media News said.
