COVID Means Wrapping Mattresses On Bulk Trash Day In Malvern Boro
Due to COVID-19, this year mattresses tossed to the curb should be wrapped in plastic first.

MALVERN, PA — This year's bulk trash pick up day in Malvern will look a little different, and the borough's disposal service requests that mattresses and box springs be wrapped in plastic before they're tossed to the curb.
Malvern Borough's Bulk Trash Day is Saturday, September, 26. Items need to put out for pick up no later that 7 a.m. that day, the borough announced.
Bulk pick up servicer for the borough Charles Blosenski Disposal Co. has asked that "all mattresses and box springs must be wrapped in plastic," Malvern Borough noted.

Bulk items include household furniture and appliances without Freon, certification of Freon removal must be visible. Two people must be able to lift the items into the collection vehicle. The items should be under 5' in length.
Acceptable items collected include: bed frames, box spring, mattress, dressers, end tables, sofas, chairs, tables, hot water heater, washer, dryer, stove, dishwasher, carpet cut into 4' sections, rolled and taped or tied, and toilets.

Non-acceptable items collected include: construction debris (permanent fixtures of the home), hazardous waste, car parts, tires or plant waste, electronics, TVs, bricks, dirt, or concrete, liquids or sealed containers such as propane tanks.
Large piles of debris will not be collected. Items that cannot be bagged or boxed for regular Tuesday and Friday collection must be bundled and will be taken as a bulk item, the borough said.
