“If you will be going out tonight or Friday morning, use caution,” the NWS said Thursday night. “Be prepared for slippery conditions on area roads, walkways and parking lots.”
National Weather Service meteorologists apologized earlier this week when the massive snowstorm they had predicted turned out to be only a few inches of snow.

“My deepest apologies to many key decision makers and so many members of the general public,” Gary Szatkowski of the National Weather Service in Mount Holly Tweeted early Tuesday. “You made a lot of tough decisions expecting us to get it right, and we didn’t. Once again, I’m sorry.”
