East Whiteland, State Officials To Discuss Radon Testing Thursday

Local and state officials are encouraging residents to get free radon test kits.

EAST WHITELAND, PA — State and local officials are teaming up this week in Chester County to encourage residents to get free radon test kits.

At 10 a.m. Thursday, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Radon Division Chief Bob Lewis and East Whiteland Township officials will discuss the importance of testing for radon in Commonwealth homes, schools, and business and how those in select communities can receive a free radon test kit from the American Lung Association of Pennsylvania.

Radon is a naturally occurring colorless, radioactive, odorless gas.

The event will take place at the East Whiteland Municipal Building, 209 Conestoga Road in Frazer.
