Art Ability will end its 16th annual art exhibition Sunday at Bryn Mawr Rehab on Paoli Pike in Willistown. The unique show features work by artists with various disabilities.
Many of the artists are local, according to the exhibition literature, including Romaine Samworth:
Romaine Samworth, of Malvern, has been blind since the age of eight as a result of an adverse reaction to a small pox vaccine. While it is difficult to handle because of her blindness, she uses colored paper to create her work with a special tool that helps her identify the hue. Paper mache is her medium of choice because it is adaptable. She exhibits with the National Exhibits by Blind Artists and independently in San Francisco and Japan.

The exhibit is then open free to the public and enjoyed by more than 3,500 individuals annually, including the hospital’s patients, their families and friends, hospital staff and visitors — making it the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of its kind in the nation.
