Great Valley District Is Closed Friday, Jan. 19

The district is closed due to a weather forecast of four to six inches of snow.

GREAT VALLEY, PA —Great Valley School District is closed Friday, Jan. 19, due to inclement weather.

All evening activities are canceled.

The snow is expected to be heavy at times, stopping at around 10 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service, based in Mount Holly, N.J.

Temperatures are expected to drop rapidly, and untreated roads will become icy.

Motorists are reminded to keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in their vehicles in the event of an emergency.

The high temperature on Friday is forecasted at 30 degrees and the low is 14 degrees.

Saturday morning is expected to be partly sunny with blustery winds at 15 to 20 mph.
