Historical Photo Location Revealed

The photo depicted the original Frazer Post Office, on its last day in operation.

It's time for the answer to 's Historical Snapshot challenge:

The photo is of the original Frazer Post Office, located at 94 Sproul Road, and was taken on the day before the office closed in 1938. Though the building remains, it is no longer a post office. In fact, there is no longer an official Frazer Post Office, though many area residents use that name to describe the one located at .

In the comments from last week's challenge, correctly identified the building as a post office. and went one better and specified the right stretch of roadway.

The photo came from the Chester County Historical Society, by way of the East Whiteland Historical Commission. Also attached to this article are two documents from the CCHS archives: a news item about the post office closing, and a list of postmasters.
