Attendees should bring bug spray, flashlights, recorders, cameras, and any other devices they want.

The tour will take guests through the battlefield's wooded pathways and fields, so attendees are encouraged to dress for the season, including warm clothing and appropriate footwear.

Attendees who have trouble standing for long periods can also bring folding chairs or folding stools, but they should remember the tour will visit several different locations throughout the battlefield and in the woods.

"We have discovered over the years many different “hot spots” of activity located along the trail and in other areas around the battlefield of the 9th deadliest battle of the Revolutionary War," organizers said. "This battle was a midnight bayonet and sword attack by the British as they swept across the camp of Anthony Wayne in three waves that sent his continental troops off in a panic. Many witnesses describe the attack and atrocities committed there by the British.

"Fifty-two soldiers from this battle are buried in a mass grave and there is one that is buried somewhere else in the battlefield. Wayne’s troops were so incensed at the British atrocities that the coined one of our nation's first battle cry 'Remember Paoli.'"

Attendees are encouraged to email photos or recordings taken during the tour to Paolibattlefield@gmail.com.
