Judge Rules in Malvern Police Case
Sergeant Lloyd Douglas is ordered to pay back some of the money he spent as head of the officers' joint negotiating committee, but less than one-tenth the amount fellow officers were seeking.
Magisterial District Judge William Kraut issued a judgment Tuesday in the Malvern Police Negotiating Committee's against Sgt. Lloyd Douglas.
Kraut ruled that Douglas owes the committee $18.49 for the cost of a wallet badge he purchased using committee funds. Douglas will not have to pay restitution for two other expenditures listed in the complaint—a set of police trading cards and a Turnpike Commission fine—totaling $182.85.
Including court costs, Douglas will pay a total of $88.99.

The civil complaint was filed by the three other members of the committee, officers Joseph Cordone, John McNamee and Patrick Dougherty, who the legitimacy of three payments made by Douglas during his time as committee president.
