Malvern Apartment Damaged by Attic Fire

The family is recovering from the loss of their Monunment Avenue home last week.

A Malvern borough family continues to recover after a fire in their apartment forced them out of their home last week.

Clothing and gift card donations were accepted by the organizers of the weekly Malvern Farmers Market at Burke Park over the weekend, and contributions will continue to be welcomed. Clothing is needed for boys between the ages of 14 and 16 years, plus men’s and women’s extra large sizes.

The fire ripped through an apartment on Monument Avenue in Malvern May 6, according to the Malvern Fire Department. First reponders from East Whiteland, Paoli and Berwyn stations assisted with the initial scene. A second alarm brought crews from Goshen, Radnor, Newtown Square and Kimberton.
