Malvern Borough Posts Pollutant Reduction Plan, Asks For Feedback

Public comment is requested before Feb. 26 concerning Malvern Borough's Pollutant Reduction Plan.

MALVERN, PA — Malvern Borough's Pollutant Reduction Plan is ready and posted for public review while the borough council awaits public comment before its next meeting.

Malvern Borough has requested comment on the plan now through Feb. 26.

The Malvern Borough Council will publically review the plan at its March 2 meeting, starting at 7:30 pm via Zoom. Information on how to participate will be posted on the Malvern Borough website.

The plan lists pollutants of concern and particular waterways of concern, particularly Crum Creek and Little Valley Creek. The plan explains the borough's approaches to determining pollutant load in waterways, as well.

A printed copy of the plan is available for review by appointment at the Malvern Borough Municipal Building, 1 E. First Avenue, Suite 3, Malvern, PA 19355.

Borough Manager Christopher Bashore said comments need to be submitted in writing to the Borough at malvern@malvern.org prior to Feb. 26.

"Malvern Borough has developed these plans in order to meet the requirements of their upcoming National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Individual Permit to Discharge Stormwater From Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s)," a message from Bashore said.
