The FOP Survivors Fund is a charitable organization in Philadelphia that raises money for families of Philadelphia Police Officers who have been tragically injured or killed in the line of duty. Since this annual event’s inception, Chickie’s and Pete’s has donated more than $225,000 to the FOP Survivors Fund.

"We look forward to this every year, it’s one of our primary philanthropic initiatives and a great Chickie’s and Pete’s tradition," Pete Ciarrocchi, Chairman and CEO, Chickie’s and Pete’s, said. "It’s an honor to be able to give back to such a great organization."

"We are always very excited about the partnership and the Crabfries for Heroes event," Roosevelt Poplar, President of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5, said. "We have continued to go to Pete and Chickie’s & Pete’s for help when needed and we have never been turned away, in fact we are always embraced. This man and his team live their lives by being a part of our community every day and supporting our officers day in and day out."

"Crabfries for Heroes has historically demonstrated how passionate and generous our customer base is," Ciarrochi said. "Traditions like these provide fantastic opportunities to gather the Chickie’s community to raise money and awareness for a great cause."

Crabfries for Heroes started as a simple idea to say "thank you" to police officers for their service and dedication to their communities. After seeing the need firsthand, Ciarrocchi and his team decided to make a major commitment to The Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund.

All participating full service Chickie’s & Pete’s locations will be participating in this event. The deal is not valid at venue, theme parks, stadiums, airport locations, Penn's Landing, Franklin Square, boardwalk, Allentown and Nevada locations.
