Malvern Library Has Seven Nooks To Lend

has seven Nook e-reader devices available for lending, each preloaded with multiple titles from one literary genre, including:

• mystery
• romance
• science fiction
• thrillers
• fiction
• nonfiction
• biography titles

The library started circulating the Nooks on Friday, Jan. 13. The devices can be checked out for three weeks at a time, and come with a plastic carrying case, charger and user guide, according to librarian Rosalie Dietz. They cannot be renewed, but they can be placed on hold.

Nooks are electronic reading devices marketed by Barnes and Noble. Chester County Library System was able to supply the devices to each of its 18 libraries via a $30,000 Library Services and Technology Act grant. Chester County Library Trust funds allowed the library system to purchase the e-book titles.
