While the victim was in his vehicle on April 21, 2021, the defendant solicited sexual contact from her and attempted to engage in indecent contact with her, officials said. He also forced the victim out of the vehicle and made her hide behind trees when he believed police were in the area looking for her, the witnesses testified.

Victim two

In August 2021, a second victim, an 11-year-old girl, reported to state police that Roman gave her alcohol and a lollipop believed to be laced with THC, state police said.

The victim said Roman was a friend of her father and that he had been secretly communicating with her for days on a TikTok account.

She also testified that the defendant showed her pornographic videos. He asked her to allow him to film sexually explicit videos of her which he would sell to others for money and gift cards.

District Attorney Deb Ryan said the defendant groomed these children to corrupt them so he could take advantage of their innocence.

“He put them in dangerous situations because of his depraved interests,” the district attorney said. “We are also grateful to the jury for this outcome.”
