Malvern Outreach Brings Farm Life to the City

Farm Explorer, an extension of the Malvern-based Greener Partners, is a "living, hands-on mobile farm that lets youth and families dig in and connect with food from seed to plate" according to its website.

The mobile lesson in how food is made has been making the rounds in the Greater Philadelphia area. According to a release from the program, here's what Farm Explorer has been up to.

• On August 16, the Explorer will be at the Eakins Oval in Philadelphia from 12 to 2 p.m.
• The Farm Explorer will be traveling to between 12 to 15 schools a month in the Greater Philadelphia area during the 2013-2014 school year to provide hands-on learning about farming.
