Malvern Police Blotter: Lights Out

The following arrest information was supplied by the Malvern Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

DUI… On March 8 at 12:20 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Warren Avenue north of First Avenue because its headlights were not illuminated. The officer smelled alcohol and the driver, Jason Curran, 33, of Phoenixville, refused to perform field sobriety tests. He was taken to the hospital, where he refused to give blood for testing.

Simple Assault… On March 8, police arrested borough resident Johnny Taylor, 72, after a domestic dispute. The victim went to Paoli Hospital before the police were notified.

Underage Drinking... On March 11 at 1:35 a.m., police cited two teenagers for underage drinking.
