Malvern Residents On Deans' Lists
Another update of local students excelling at colleges and universities.

Many colleges and universities send out news bulletins about students who have made dean's list or otherwise excelled academically. Here's a collection of recent ones specific to the Malvern area.
- Nancy Dimattia, a junior studio art major and a resident of Malvern, PA, was named to the fall 2011 undergraduate Dean's List at Rosemont College.
- Luke Thomas Cori of Malvern has been named to the Dean's List at Clemson University for the fall 2011 semester. Cori is majoring in Computer Engineering. To be named to the Dean's List, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.
- The following students were named to the Dean's List of Thomas Jefferson University for the Fall 2011 semester. At the end of each academic term, recognition on the Dean's List for Distinguished Academic Achievement is awarded to students enrolled in undergraduate programs, with no fewer than 12 credit hours per semester, who achieved a minimum grade point average of at least 3.50 for the term.

Michelle Rehm, a Rad Sci, AP Gen Sonog - BSMS student and resident of Malvern, PA. - Emory Simpson, a resident of Malvern and a first year at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, is listed on the honor roll. To be listed on the SMU honor roll, students must be in the top 15 percent of their school of record.
- The following residents earned dean's list honors for the Fall 2011 semester at Saint Joseph's University. Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above, a B or greater in all their classes, and complete at least 15 credits to earn Dean's List status for a semester. Ashley Haly of Malvern is majoring in Interdisciplinary Health Srvs.
Brian Johnson of Malvern is majoring in Political Science.
Nathan Offutt of Malvern is majoring in Computer Science.
Ryan Carroll of Malvern is majoring in Marketing.
Maria Damico of Malvern is majoring in Marketing.
John Morabito of Malvern is majoring in Food Marketing. - Hilary Condon, daughter of John and Maureen Condon of Malvern, a junior Cinema & Photography major, was named to the Dean's List at Ithaca College's Roy H. Park School of Communications for the fall 2011 semester.
- The following students from the area were named to the Deans' List for the Fall 2011 semester at Widener University in Chester, Pa. The Deans' List recognizes full-time students who earned a grade point average of 3.50 and above for the semester.

Sheila Terpin of Malvern, PA - George Cauffman of Malvern, PA, a member of the class of 2014 at Washington and Lee University, has earned dean's list status for the recently ended fall term. Dean's list status at Washington and Lee represents a term grade-average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.
- Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2011 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must have a GPA of at least 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits. The following local students have achieved this honor:

Matthew Maloney, a member of the class of 2015 from Malvern - James Colby Underwood of Malvern, PA (19355), was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester at Washington University in St. Louis. Underwood is a graduate of Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square, PA, and is enrolled in the university's School of Engineering and Applied Science. To qualify for the Dean's List in the School of Engineering, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and be enrolled in at least 12 graded units.
- Jason S. Jarrett, of Malvern, PA (Chester County, PA) was among 894 students from Miami University who received degrees during fall commencement exercises Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, in Millett Hall. Jarrett received a Bachelor of Arts degree.
- Emily Ackerman of Malvern, PA, a member of the class of 2012 at Washington and Lee University, has earned honor roll status for the recently ended fall term. Honor roll status at Washington and Lee represents a term grade-average of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.
- Lindsay Mary Aylward of Malvern (Chester County, PA) was named to the Miami University dean's list. Miami University students who achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average for first semester 2011-2012 have been named to the dean's list recognizing academic performance.
