Motorists: PECO Utility Upgrades In The Malvern Area Begin Monday

MALVERN, PA —PECO utility improvements begin Monday, March 13 on state roads throughout in Malvern and surrounding municipalities.

PennDOT reminds motorists to exercise caution and allow extra time when driving in and around Malvern. The road will be reduced to one lane or closed in both directions.
The work is part of PECO’s $1.36 billion on targeted reliability-focused electric system infrastructure investments during a five-year period from 2021 through 2025.

PECO said the work will help to prevent customer outages, modernize the electric grid, and reduce the impact of extreme weather on electric infrastructure. This work will also support the adoption of clean energy resources.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions in Malvern:

• Monday, March 13, through Saturday, April 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m,., a weekday lane closure including weekends is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Moreland Road and Manor Road in Willistown Township;
• Monday, March 13, through Sunday, April 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a weekday lane closure including weekends is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Conestoga Road and Deerfield Lane in East Whiteland Township;

• Tuesday, March 14, through Thursday, March 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Boot Road between Country Lane and Clearbrook Road in West Whiteland Township;

• Tuesday, March 14, through Thursday, March 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. a weekday lane closure is scheduled on eastbound and/or westbound U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Josephs Way and Westgate Village Drive in East Whiteland Township.
• Tuesday, March 14, through Thursday, March 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Paoli Pike between Woodland Drive and Sugartown Road in Willistown Township;
• Tuesday, March 14, through Thursday, March 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Paoli Pike between Frazer Avenue and Lloyd Avenue in Willistown Township;

• Tuesday, March 14, through Thursday, March 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Sugartown Road between Monument Avenue and Highland Avenue in Malvern Borough; and

• Tuesday, March 14, through Thursday, March 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. a weekday lane closure is scheduled on White Horse Road between Mine Road and Southwinds Lane in Charlestown Township.
