Registration open for Malvern Run for Freedom 5K

Organizers for the fifth Annual Run for Freedom 5K fundraiser in Malvern encourages interested racers to start registering now.

The Run for Freedom kicks off Malvern Borough’s Memorial Day weekend festivities, with the race starting at 9 a.m. at Malvern Memorial Grounds. The day continues with family friendly activities sponsored by Chester Valley Little League, capped Saturday evening with the Second Annual Community Spaghetti Dinner. On Sunday, the Upper Main Line Memorial Association sponsors the 147 Malvern Memorial Day Parade.

Proceeds from the Run for Freedom will benefit the family of a Phoenixville man seriously injured by an IED while serving in Afghanistan in 2010.
