Sugartown Garden Spaces Available for 2012 Season
Willistown Parks Department will hold an information and sign-up session Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.

Gardeners of all skill levels are invited to an Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the . Mounded beds are available in the organic Sugartown Community Garden for the 2012 growing season.
The garden is located in Sugartown Preserve, off Spring Road. Each available bed is 3 feet by 27 feet, and more beds can be created if needed.
Though there is no charge for a bed, growers are asked to give back to the community in other ways. They can talk about gardening at community events, or hang out at the garden for a few hours on a Sunday, as a placard at the entrance lets passers-by know someone is available to answer questions about the program.

"This isn't your average community garden," said Willistown parks director Mary McLoughlin. "People give back in different ways. They can tend the blackberry patch or blueberries in community areas ... It's not for someone who just wants to come, get their potatoes and split."
