Villa Maria Academy Advances in State Basketball Playoffs
The Hurricanes' second-round game is set for Wednesday in Bethlehem.
On Saturday in Norristown, the Villa Maria Academy Hurricanes beat West York of District 3, 52-40, in the first round of the PIAA AAA girls' basketball state playoffs.
The victors have drawn a second-round matchup with Holy Redeemer of District 2, to be played at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Freedom High School in Bethlehem.
