Woman Admits Theft From Oscar-Nominated Director
The woman worked for Chester County resident M. Night Shyamalan.

A woman who had worked for Academy Award-nominated director M. Night Shyamalan and his wife this week admitted stealing more than $15,000 from the couple.
Selma Nolan Cody, 34, of Reading worked as a house manager at the Shyamalans’ Willistown property in 2012 and 2013, The Daily Local News said.
On Monday before Common Plea Judge Phyllis Streitel, Cody admitted making unauthorized charges of more than $15,000 on a credit card given to her by the couple for household expenses, The Daily Local News said.

Cody will be sentenced sometime next year.
Shyamalan directed and wrote the films “The Sixth Sense,” “Unbreakable” and “Signs,” among others. His production company, Blinding Edge Productions, is based in Berwyn.
