Gable Field Closed For 1 Month Due To Turf Replacement Work
Despite the closure of Gable Field, Gable Park's trail, playground and basketball court all remain open during this work.
Newtown Township’s Gable Field is closed for approximately one month so that the turf can be replaced. The multi-use field is used daily by the community for numerous sports and activities, and field permits are issued by Marple Newtown Recreation for various baseball, soccer, lacrosse and other teams.
Gable Park’s trail, playground and basketball court all remain open during this work – visitors are just asked to remain off of the turf playing field area while the replacement takes place.
