Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle on W. Chester Pike

Newtown Police are investigating a pedestrian accident on West Chester Pike/Route 3 Friday night which required a med-evac helicopter to take the victim to the hospital.

The accident happened around 9 p.m. Friday in front of Dunwoody Village. An air ambulance was called in, and landed at the nearby community center before taking the unidentified victim to the hospital.

The accident is still under investigation. A Newtown police sergeant on duty Saturday morning expected more details to be available early next week.
