• Mars passes event policy (butlereagle.com) — Mars Borough Council has approved a new comprehensive event policy that sets clear rules for who can host events, how far in advance they must apply, and what safety measures are required. Mars residents, property owners, businesses, the Mars Area School District, and local nonprofits can now organize family-friendly, public events, but must budget for borough staffing costs and plan at least 90 days ahead.
   

• WPIAL all-conference football teams 2025: All-stars from Mars, Freeport, Seneca Valley, North Catholic (butlereagle.com) — Mars football players made a big splash in the newly released WPIAL all-conference teams, with multiple Planets earning honors on both offense and defense in Class 4A. Senior running back Ayden Yocum leads a long list of Mars standouts recognized alongside top performers from Freeport, Seneca Valley, and North Catholic.
