• Diocese of Erie relegating Meadville church dating back to 1800s (yourerie.com) — Saint Brigid Church, a Meadville-area Catholic parish dating back to the 1860s, will lose its sacred status on February 2, 2026, after years of costly structural problems. The Diocese of Erie says nearly $1.7 million in repairs, plus high annual maintenance and water issues, made the building unsustainable, following its 2021 merger with Saint Agatha and Saint Mary parishes.
