• Attorney General Urges Use of American Signature, Value City Gift Cards Before Dec. 22 (fcfreepresspa.com) — If you have American Signature or Value City Furniture gift cards, especially for the Mechanicsburg store on Carlisle Pike, you’re urged to use them by December 22 due to the company’s bankruptcy. The Mechanicsburg Value City location is the only Pennsylvania store closure announced so far, and state consumer protection officials explain how to use cards, file claims, or seek help if problems arise.
   

• Dirt bike driver blows through stop sign, flees from Mechanicsburg police (local21news.com) — Mechanicsburg police are asking for tips after a dirt bike rider ran a stop sign and then sped away from an officer near East Schoolside Drive and North Arch Street on Dec. 7. The rider later dropped the bike near Edgewood Drive and was last seen around Silver Spring Road and North Walnut Street, wearing a white-and-black helmet and dark clothing.
   

• Viral letter leads to emotional reunion between woman and her beloved VW Beetle (fox43.com) — A beloved VW Beetle named Herbetta was restored in Adams County with help from donors including a Mechanicsburg tire shop, then reunited with its former owner decades later. The emotional story, sparked by a handwritten letter found in the car, has inspired plans to restore and gift more vintage Beetles. Local businesses and residents played key roles in bringing the car back to life.
