Assault 'Victim' Charged In Delco Incident: PA State Police

A 66-year-old Aston man said he was assaulted by a neighbor, but the Aston man was charged after police saw video footage of the incident.

CHESTER HEIGHTS BOROUGH, PA — A Delaware County man who claimed he was assaulted ended up being charged by Pennsylvania State Police, authorities said.

The incident occurred at about 6:18 p.m. on Sept. 1 on Bishops Drive in Chester Heights Borough, state police said.

Troopers were called to the area for a report of an assault.

There, troopers spoke with Daniel George, 66, of Aston.

George told troopers he was assaulted by his neighbor, a 26-year-old Clifton Heights man, police said.

However, after troopers reviewed video of the incident and conducted interviews, they determined George was the aggressor in the incident.

George was charged with engaging in fighting, a misdemeanor, and summary harassment by subjecting someone to physical contact, court records show.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 5, according to court documents.
