Delco Arts Week Kicks Off Saturday At Venues Across The County

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Delco Arts Week starts Saturday and promises a week's worth of performances, exhibits, workshops, concerts, tours, and more.

Delco Arts Week runs from Saturday, Sept. 30 through Sunday, Oct. 8.

During this week, more than 60 performances, exhibits, workshops, concerts, tours, and other events will be taking place at more than 30 venues throughout Delaware County.

Some events include productions at the Colonial Playhouse, Media Theatre, Hedgerow Theatre, and the Spotlight Theatre, performances by the Rose Tree Pops Orchestra, a musical instrument petting zoo, workshops, classes, art, and fall festivals across the county, and much more.

The Delaware County Arts Consortium, formed in 2009, has representatives from 10 Delaware County organizations and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.

They strive to advance the economic vitality of the nonprofit arts and culture community and promote the value of Delaware County’s cultural resources to the local community and beyond.

The group has worked to create Delco Arts Week to showcase the arts in Delco and engage and introduce residents to the many unique artistic venues and experiences that Delaware County has to offer.
