Delco Holding Juneteenth Celebration In Rose Tree Park Thursday
Vendors will be open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., performers and speakers will begin at 5:30 p.m., and Philly Gumbo will perform at 7:30 p.m.
MEDIA, PA — The Delaware County community is invited to celebrate Juneteenth Thursday at Rose Tree Park in Media.
Delaware County is hosting its 2025 Juneteenth Celebration from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday in the park.
The family-friendly celebration is free to attend.

Juneteenth serves as a day for residents to celebrate the ending of slavery in the United States and an opportunity for our entire community to learn more about African American history, which will contribute to a deeper understanding of the experiences that have shaped African Americans and our Country.
Vendors will be operating from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

- National Anthem & Black National Anthem
- Remarks from Ashli Rice
- Appearance by Pennsylvania’s Miss Junior Juneteenth
- NAACP Youth Program
- Student Art Showcase
- Juneteenth History Reading (General Order #3) by James Hayes
- Closing Remarks by Delaware County Council Vice Chair Richard Womack
