Rape In Delaware County Under Investigation (patch.com) — Residents should be aware that state police based in Media are investigating a reported rape that occurred just after midnight on Dec. 5, 2025, along the Chester Creek Trail in Middletown Township. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Pennsylvania State Police station in Media as they continue their investigation.

3. Media's Joseph McGettigan, prosecutor in Jerry Sandusky and John du Pont cases, dies at 76 (delcotimes.com) — Media residents are mourning longtime local attorney and prosecutor Joseph E. McGettigan III, who lived in town and has died at 76. Known statewide for securing convictions in the Jerry Sandusky and John du Pont cases, he later worked in private practice and on behalf of crime victims while remaining rooted in the Media community.

4. 2 suffer serious injuries in crash on Baltimore Pike in Chadds Ford (dailylocal.com) — A serious weekend crash on Baltimore Pike in Chadds Ford sent a 42-year-old Media man and a 77-year-old Chadds Ford woman to Paoli Hospital with suspected serious injuries. State police say the man’s southbound SUV collided with the woman’s car as she turned onto Webb Road, and local fire and EMS crews handled the response and transport.
