Property Tax/Rent Rebate Clinic Set For Monday In Delco

FOLSOM, PA — Two elected officials representing Delaware County are teaming up to host a free clinic on the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program.

State Rep. Leanne Krueger and state Sen. Tim Kearney are inviting residents to the clinic, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the Ridley Township Public Library, 100 E. MacDade Boulevard in Folsom.

Registration is required to obtain a time slot for application assistance by calling Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880 or by emailing RepKrueger@pahouse.net.

The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians 65 or older, widows and widowers 50 or older and people with disabilities 18 or older.

The income limit is $46,520 a year for homeowners and renters, and half of applicants’ Social Security and/or Railroad Retirement income is excluded.

Spouses, personal representatives or estates may also file rebate claims on behalf of claimants who lived at least one day in 2024 and meet all other eligibility criteria. Rebates are as high as $1,000.

Those intending to apply for the rebate at the clinic should bring the following documents, which will make it easier to complete the application:

• A driver’s license or photo ID for identification.
• Proof of all 2024 income.
• Stamped proof of 2024 property taxes paid for homeowners or a completed Pennsylvania Rent Certificate for renters.
• Direct deposit information if that’s the preferred way to receive the rebate.

The deadline to apply for a rebate for property taxes or rent paid under the program is Dec. 31.
