• Woman sentenced for welfare fraud in Snyder County (northcentralpa.com) — A woman formerly living in Middleburg has been sentenced in Snyder County to six months to two years in prison after admitting she wrongfully received more than $2,400 in welfare benefits. Prosecutors say she repaid the money at sentencing, but the judge still ordered prison time following an investigation by the State Inspector General’s Office.
