• Penn State Harrisburg celebrates fall 2025 commencement (psu.edu) — Penn State Harrisburg marked a major milestone for local students with its fall 2025 commencement, held Dec. 20 at the Giant Center in Hershey but celebrated from its Middletown campus. Graduates heard a keynote from alum Ariel Gardner and student remarks from political science graduate Sumana Moosavi, with student marshals recognized from each academic school.
   

• Pennsylvania lottery players strike gold in six-way lottery win (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Middletown readers might be interested to know that a recent Pennsylvania Lottery Treasure Hunt drawing produced six $30,000 winners statewide, one of the game’s biggest multi-winner jackpots in weeks. Four tickets were sold at supermarkets and convenience stores across Luzerne, Allegheny, Erie, and Washington counties, while two winners played online, with more than 59,700 additional tickets also earning smaller prizes.
