• Seven locals arrested in drug trafficking bust, 22 pounds of meth seized (lockhaven.com) — Four Mill Hall residents are among seven people arrested after a state police investigation into a meth trafficking ring moving drugs between Philadelphia and Clinton and Centre counties. Officers say recent search warrants seized over 22 pounds of meth, other drugs, cash, and a vehicle, with an additional Philadelphia suspect later arrested and brought to Clinton County.
   

• KC board votes down firm for staffing study (lockhaven.com) — Mill Hall’s Keystone Central school board has rejected hiring Devopar Consulting for a $12,000 staffing study, opting instead for an in-house review amid a five-year loss of more than 400 students. Supporters argued an outside firm would provide unbiased insight before the next budget cycle, while opponents said the district should save money and rely on the superintendent and staff to analyze staffing needs.
   

• Shade, Wells surpass 20 points, lead Central Mountain boys basketball past SJC (lockhaven.com) — Mill Hall fans saw Central Mountain boys basketball even its record as Darius Shade poured in 28 points and Noah Wells added 22 in a home win over Saint Joseph’s Catholic. Strong defense, timely steals, and hot three-point shooting powered a decisive 24-4 run, and the Wildcats now turn quickly to another home test against Loyalsock on Wednesday night.
