• Berks County organizations receive funds through state Neighborhood Assistance Program (berksweekly.com) — Mohnton is set to gain eight new Habitat for Humanity homes thanks to fresh state Neighborhood Assistance Program funding directed to Berks County projects. Alongside the Mohnton housing effort, other local nonprofits in Reading and nearby communities will use tax-credit-supported donations to expand food access, workforce training, education, and neighborhood improvements aimed at strengthening low-income and distressed areas.
