• Hundreds swap sweets in record bid for world's largest Christmas cookie exchange (newstribune.com) — A Monongahela native led a massive Christmas cookie exchange that donated thousands of cookies to the Monongahela Area Historical Society to help restore its Longwell House home. Hundreds of bakers gathered at the Washington County Fairgrounds and remote locations to set a record-sized swap, raise funds, and collect food and gift card donations for regional charities while celebrating Western Pennsylvania’s cookie-table tradition.
