The Mall At Robinson Santa Claus Mourned

A man who brought joy to countless children as The Mall at Robinson Santa has died.

ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Mall at Robinson's longtime Santa has died. Robert Gump, 73, died at his home in Fort Collins, Colorado, the mall announced in a Facebook post.

Gump was known for "his warm, welcoming and contagious holiday spirit," the mall post stated.

"Bob embodied the spirit of Christmas for our entire mall community," the post continued. "He was such a magnetic, inviting, and giving personality who brought the magic of the season to life for countless children, and his laughter and lifelong sense of holiday joy will truly be missed.

"Hewas extremely patient, caring, and empathetic with visitors young andold, recalling the details of their conversations from years past. Healso spoke seven languages, including American sign, which helped himconnect with visitors from all around the world. The special care he

took with every young person he met — as well as the eternally young-at-heart — endeared him to families all across Pittsburgh and beyond."
