Sewickley Bridge Inspection Rescheduled for Sunday
Sewickley and Moon Township police will control traffic on both sides of the river.

Work to inspect the Sewickley Bridge will occur on Sunday, Aug. 18 weather permitting, according to PennDOT.
Single lane, alternating use traffic will occur on the bridge from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Crews from SAI Consulting Engineers, Inc. will conduct the work.
Sewickley and Moon Township police will control traffic on both sides of the bridge, which carries traffic over the Ohio River into Moon and Sewickley.

PennDOT advises motorists to use caution, slow down, and expect changing traffic patterns and delays when traveling through the area.Â
A bridge inspection was postponed last month amidst concerns that one-lane traffic during daylight hours on a weekday would add congestion.

The Sewickley Bridge is being used as a main detour since March 4, when the nearby Ambridge-Aliquippa Bridge closed long-term for a second time so that crews could complete a $16.6-million repair project.
The Ambridge-Aliquippa Bridge is expected to reopen in October.
