First Day of Trout Season Opens Today

The fishing season opens at 8 a.m.

Today, April 13, officially marks the opening day of trout season.

The regular fishing season opens at 8 a.m. and runs 24 hours a day through Labor Day, according to the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.

Fish and Boat Commission officials spent about six weeks stocking trout waters with brook, brown and rainbow in preparation.
