• Specialist: Muncy solar array could confuse local bats (sungazette.com) — A proposed 33‑megawatt solar farm and large chicken CAFO in Muncy Creek Township is drawing scrutiny after a Bucknell bat expert warned the solar arrays could significantly disrupt endangered bat species. Residents, including the Muncy Area Neighborhood Preservation Coalition and local fire chief, are pressing supervisors to require a full environmental impact study before deciding at upcoming January and December hearings.
   

• Muncy's Logan Diehl looks to build off last year's successes (sungazette.com) — Muncy senior swimmer Logan Diehl is aiming to build on last year’s standout district performance, when he earned bronze in the 500 free and reached finals in the 200 free. As Muncy’s lone swimmer, he’ll again compete independently while trying to climb higher on the District 4 podium against strong programs like Wellsboro, Danville, and Athens.
   

• Woman killed in crash near Lairdsville (sungazette.com) — A Franklin Township woman died after her SUV crashed on slick roads near Lairdsville and she was rushed by Muncy Area Fire Company ambulance to UPMC Muncy, where she was pronounced dead. State police are investigating the Wednesday afternoon crash at German and Bomboy roads, which also drew firefighters from Lairdsville and Unityville.
