The roundup spotlights standout efforts across the region, but New Brighton players and opponents feature prominently in several of the week’s most impressive box scores. 
• Fire causes extensive damage to Beaver County sausage maker's building (timesonline.com) — New Brighton firefighters were among many Beaver County departments called to help battle a Dec. 15 blaze that heavily damaged Cesina's Sausage Co. in Aliquippa. Crews fought visible flames for about 90 minutes in freezing weather, with no injuries reported as investigators now look into the cause. The longtime family business is thanking area fire companies and neighbors for their support.

- I love that it's family owned and how they always donate to charities especially for kids and animals.
Plus there food is great also. It's been awhile but if they still do a Chinese auctions yearly to help the less fortunate but that was another great… (Nextdoor New Sewickley) - I was in complete amazement last night around 6pm give or take a bit.
