Artist's Show Is 'Love Letter' To New Hope, Lambertville Post-Ida
A local artist will show her work at Scrambled! Gallery of Gifts, including a decal she designed to benefit Lambertville relief efforts.

NEW HOPE, PA — Hope Gaburo grew up in New Hope and now lives in Lambertville. Her upcoming show, "With Love, Hope," pays homage to the Delaware River towns — and even includes an initiative to benefit Lambertville flood relief efforts.
Gaburo will be on site at Scrambled! Gallery of Gifts for the grand opening on Saturday from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Erin Simmons, the shop's owner, was excited to work with Gaburo after she participated in the gallery's Small Works show in June.

“She is so bubbly and energetic," Simmons said. "Even though the art show will be on for a whole month, I want people to meet her.”
Much of Gaburo's art depicts scenes from the area, like the doorstep of Iron & Oak or produce at the Basil Bandwagon Natural Market (where she works when not making art).

In recent weeks, Gaburo has been assisting in the business' flood cleanup efforts. Although the show was planned prior to the region's extensive flooding, it was important to Gaburo that her work truly benefit her community. She created a decal paying homage to Lambertville, with 100 percent of proceeds from its sale to benefit local relief from the disaster.

"What a beautiful thing that we can come together and celebrate art and community," Gaburo said. "That's what makes our town so great — the heart within it. I'm beyond grateful for every part of it. And what a beautiful thing it is that we can use art to make a difference."
Scrambled! highly emphasizes these kinds of connections — Simmons said the show in June raised about $700 for Bucks County SPCA and Pine2Pink, primarily from school children's art. Her shop highlights only local and regional artists.
Attendees on Saturday can enjoy music by local talent Peter Sandler, along with refreshments and good conversation on the deck overlooking the Delaware Canal. Residents can read event details online.
"With Love, Hope" will run weekends through Oct. 16, from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. at 39 W. Bridge St.
