NEW HOPE, PA — Beverly Barber Leavell, age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 12, 2024, at New Hope Manor where she lived. Born in La Grange, Georgia, to Sadie Pike Barber and Forrest Barber, Beverly lived a life rich in love and storytelling.

She leaves behind her partner, Donald Dow; her sons, Jeff Leavell and Damon Leavell; daughter-in-law Ariel Ellman; brother Bruce Barber; sister-in-law Fran Barber; nieces Madison and Alexis Barber; and her adored grandchildren, Elijah, Jonah, Gabriel, Chava, and Zahara Ellman-Leavell.

Beverly, who lived on Buttonwood Street in Lambertville before moving to New Hope Manor a few years ago, was a vibrant soul who embraced the mystical side of life. She was an avid reader of tarot cards and channeled a group of entities she lovingly referred to as her guides. Her passion for storytelling brought to life a world filled with magic and wonder, captivating all who had the pleasure of listening.

Her legacy is not only in the stories she leaves behind but also in the immense love she had for her family and friends. To have been loved by her was both an honor and a grace. Beverly will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the memories of those she touched.

A celebration of her life will be held June 1 at 2 p.m. at the family house where friends and family are invited to share memories and stories, continuing her legacy of connection and wonder.
